As we all know, every main story characters and all-stars have their own unique in-game descriptions. But how about the others? They(even including MC!) share the same, boring descriptions no matter what they wear or what kind of hairstyle they get.
So, from the restarting of this game(although I can't remember exactly, I played this for a short in 2014 or 2015), I gave background story to almost every classmate I've earned in the form of MC's character notes. And because it seems there's no "editing in-game description" system, I want to share it here instead.
Before you read further,
1. First of all, I decided to ignore the settings in "Choices," because HSS said to me "make your own school" and this is one of the main reasons I love this game. For example, my school's name isn't "Oliver M. Berry High," but "Arcadia Academy."
2. I also ignored the details of conversations in quests. For example, there are 2 handicapped students in my school, but obviously, this can't be reflected in quest conversations.
3. For the apparent reason, I excluded the main story characters and all-stars. If you want to read their stories, I believe I've read the same sentences with you in-game.
4. I put my MC and her date, some sisters and brothers first(according to age), then arranged other classmates by their cliques(alphabetically in same clique).
5. I'm on level 16, and this means I don't have rebel classmates yet. I'm going to update this when I have some rebels if you guys like this post.
6. Maybe it's because I'm more interested in decorating the campus than individual classmates, I've never had enough coins to buy outfits. As a result, almost every classmate wearing clique outfits here.
7. Talking about gender and nationality, I didn't try to infer anything. If you see a pattern here, it's totally a coincidence and unintended.
8. As you may be noticed already, English isn't my native language. This means I have little knowledge about the life of American teenagers, so some notes can be unrealistic or even ridiculous.
My name is Safiye, Turkish American, and... Damn, it feels a little awkward to write about myself. I'm the first student of Arcadia Academy, have been persuaded some guys to transfer to our school, helped them to have a happy school life. Although I've faced many difficulties, I want to keep trying to help others. Because everyone has a right to enjoy their school no matter where they came from, what's their story.
It would take a hundred years to describe Vyr accurately. She's from a wealthy and old family, felt like aloof and indifferent when I met her for the first time. But she's not like anyone I've ever met. Although a privileged golden child, she's rebellious, frank, and warm-hearted. She also has some secret spots around the town, took me sometimes. And you know what, she showed me her electric guitar, which she said she loves much more than boring violin her parents demanded to play in one of those spots. Man, this really sounds like I have a crush on her, doesn't it?
Although Frederick is a leader of a musical band at our school, I've never talked with him a lot. But according to his friends, his bravery, smartness, ambition makes him an excellent officer already. He drills band members in Spartan style, and I've heard some complaints about this, but even those complainers agree Frederick has a hell of charisma.
Need advice about Otto? I can give you one: don't ever mess with him unless you can beat the gun with your knife. Otto is a freshman, but he's already a competitive pistol shooter. He's also an unemotional guy, so it's quite difficult to guess what he's thinking or feeling, but I don't think he's bad because he never boasted his shooting skill.
Jennifer is a kind, diligent, warm-hearted girl as far as I can see. But the problem is, she never can say no when someone asks her about something. She asks something she couldn't have handled yet to fellow student govs as a natural consequence, and that is when she listens to a word no.
Rose is a shy, reserved, and timid girl. Although she was visually impaired from birth and had few friends before transferred to our school, her mom taught Rose piano, which became her favorite friend. I believe every one of us can walk towards our dreams, and with some help from her sisters and some of her friends, Rose couldn't be an exception.
Susan is a living playlist. Whether you need to be consoled, cheered up, calmed down, she knows most fitting songs. She never hesitates when asked to recommend these, and in fact, 2 or 3 songs in my playlist are introduced by Susan. Some guys I know dislike her because it seems she doesn't care about her twin sister Rose, but I can tell she's cold outside warm inside type.
Jaime is a son of a famous equestrian rider and a grandson of another well-known rider about some decades ago. Unlike his twin brother Gonzalo, Jaime takes his family tradition quite seriously, and as a result, he is already an excellent rider. One more thing? He's also the fencing master. If someone wants to tease him about his always grim and severe character, he'd better prepare the way for running away first.
Unlike his twin brother Jaime, Gonzalo doesn't seem to give a shit about his family tradition. He likes horses, but he's just a laid-back horse person who uses cowboy slangs a lot, not a hard-working equestrian.
I agree that Athena is a natural-born leader. She's smart, eloquent, have a strong sense of responsibility, But still, she's... um, impartiality to a fault. I already heard a lot of complaining that Athena always treats her closest friends or sisters and a stranger equally. Fairness is a virtue in most cases, but her younger sisters may think differently, and I can't blame them for this.
Whether you pronounce "sea girl" or "seagull", it all pointing Artemis here. She's lively and bright in ordinary, extra cheerful and sunny girl when she's near the sea. Never held a bow, but of course, she's an excellent surfer and swimmer. Personal note, I don't hate the sea, but still odd that grown up in a seaside town girl hasn't fed up with saltwater even now.
As the daughter of a famous dance singer, it seems Lily inherited her mom's dancing skills. Lily is energetic, playful, loves the heat of the field. Mia told me that Lily spends most of her time at her hangout to develop a new dance. Most jocks of our school, including Julian, see Lily as the icon of victory, but some cheerleaders sometimes complain that her dance is quite hard to follow.
While Lily inherited her mom's dancing skills, many guys agree Grace has excellent singing skills. It seems everyone pays attention to her when she's onstage not just because of her mom, but also she has the voice of heaven. But unexpected for an outstanding singer, she's a gentle girl likes flower arrangement and stitchery in offstage.
If you want to see how different sisters can be, see Nora and Cindy. Nora is a disciplinarian in the class, who never tolerates any disturbance or chaos during class or exam period. Nerds, including myself, always appreciate her efforts to preserve the peace of our school. But understandably, rebels dislike her, calling "officer" in the meaning of mocking.
I see making noise in the most unexpected place is Cindy's favorite activity. If she does a DJ at a party, everybody in Arcadia knows that even if the party holds at the corner of the town. But she grows still in no time when her older sister appears, according to Payton.
Elizabeth is a lively and bubbly girl who makes me feel happy just looking at her. But she makes whimsical decisions sometimes, and joining the marching band is one of them. I mean, it wasn't because Elizabeth liked music or marching, but fascinated by the fancy uniform. I've seen she found it very difficult to learn instruments from the beginning. Still, at the same time, I can tell she's marching toward becoming a good band member with passion.
"(Little) Kant". It's a nickname Nishan gave to Jack for his punctuality. Jack plans ahead of his daily routine every day, nicks the time to it, and gets hysterical when just one of his plans goes wrong. Luckily he's kind and attentive when everything rolls appropriately. Oh, did I mentioned Jack also is a valuable drummer in the musical band of our school?
John is fierce, brave, and short-tempered, and it makes him a formidable football player in the field. But out of the arena, you also could know you can rely on him what kind of problem you have because of his loyalness to friends. The only thing that should be remembered is, he'll sometimes try to overprotect you. Just except for that, I can say John is a good guy.
If you have a prejudice about women in sports, you must meet Leah. Whether it's a football, soccer, or basketball, she always takes the position as one of the most shining players. I still remember the word "lioness among the lions", said Julian after few days after Leah's transferring to our school.
Negatively speaking, Tenzin is out-of-date. He doesn't do SNS, still use a feature phone. But positively speaking, he's polite, gentle, likes a slow and quiet lifestyle. He's also known as his mad judo and fencing skills, which make him more unique and attractive.
I admit Priya can seem a weirdo at first glance. Keeping health is her most significant interest, and she does aerobic for maintaining it. But now I the reason for her obsession: her mom, who was so close to her, died of cancer when Priya was still young. I just hope her scar can be healed with time...
If you see Yuri as a humble, smart, and polite model student who loves to dance ballet, you may be right... for the most cases. But when she hears electronic, you'll know that she's a rebel. Singing and dancing aloud is her secret but a favorite hobby, and she's quite good at it. Once again, dancing aloud is Yuri's top secret.
Every parent loves their daughter, but sadly, when this love goes too far, it could be turn into suppression. Luc is open about her problems with her mom, trying to ignoring it by singing rock and playing guitar, which her mom dislikes the most. Honestly, I wish there is a way to help Luc, but I can't tell someone how to raise your child. Or... can I?
Although Paul calls himself a musician, almost everyone in school agrees he's a daydreamer. No one ever heard he's playing his guitar, which he carries always. And when someone asks him to play it, Paul just says he'll never do it in public until he composes his original, undisputed masterpiece. Well, he'll be able to finish it this year... I hope.
Sofia is a romantist and a guitarist. Talking about the latter, she has a mad guitar skill and voice of gold. There are some guys playing guitar in our school, but I think only Luc could be compared with Sofia. On the other hand, talking about the former, she still hasn't found her love yet, even after making several love songs. But every lady has their knight in shining armor... isn't it?
As a lovely and kind girl, you would want to become a friend someone like Hazel as soon as you meet her. But be careful not to say "I've never heard about that singer". She'll sulk at no time by that, and I mean it, it would be not easy to calm her.
Shy and introverted, it would be safe to say Linda is a kind of a wallflower. But when you compliment the music she listens or the clothes she wears, then she'll gush her knowledge about these. But still, it's good to have a passion for something.
I don't have much to say about Adela. She's reserved girl, rarely seen with other, mostly founded alone in the corner of the campus or forest near the school. But Payton lately said to me that Adela seems to like the horse very much. She began to visit prep hangout often, addresses words, pets it. Maybe it's time to create the term "Horse Person"?
When you say "Equestrian", it means someone knows how to ride a horse, of course. But Anele seems to know everything about the horse. Payton is still going around talking an episode about Anele that she cured the pony living in Payton's hangout. The horse had gone wild for days before Anele found a thorn stuck in the horse's rear right foot. Some guys even claim Anele understand horse language, but this hasn't been confirmed... yet.
I've seen some daredevils who compare their motorcycle to a horse, but Ian is a daredevil who literally rides a horse. He isn't faster than other guys, but it seems that he left almost the same troubl to other guys he hangs out before he escapes from Hearst or Athena. Ian always claims that he only did for our school, but I hope he tells me or student govs what he's planning to do beforehand...
I've heard that Cate has been suffered by her paradox for long before transferred to our school. She enjoys receiving everyone's attention, but at the very same time, she's shy enough to reluctant to show her face to crowds. I'm just happy that Ellie gave some tips to Cate. Now, Cate enjoys her secret fame.
I haven't talked with Tina a lot, but I know she's a total cat person, at least. She always carries cat food, giving to stray cats of the whole town. She decided to become a mom of the stray cats because her parents didn't allow her to adopt a cat, according to Mia. I bet "Cats" is Tina's favorite musical...
Some may want to play the protagonist only, but Calvin seems strongly attracted to the villain. And he isn't just attracted, really good at. Mad scientist, blood-sucking monster, alien invader... He goes with every evil character. But he's treacherous and wicked onstage, faithful and kind offstage. In short, it may sound ironic, I want to call Calvin a good-villain.
I like Emily. She's kind, gentle, cool. But drama club members may think little differently because she's also the perfectionist when she wears a mask of someone else. According to Autumn, witnessed a rehearsal of the latest play, Emily never forgives and mercilessly scolds when her acting partner makes any small mistakes. But Autumn also said that no one could answer back in front of excellent acting skills.
If every word I've been heard isn't exaggerated, I don't doubt that the top prize will be awarded to Joshua if the "Best ad-lib award" is established. Although he makes mistakes quite often during rehearsal, he always has witty and humorous ad-libs to recover it. Maybe that is the reason he doesn't hear complaints that often even though his mistakes, not to mention his popularity in everyday life.
Benji is a rare bird. He doesn't show much interest in other guys or the latest trend, but he's an expert about birds. It seems Benji often hikes in the forest or mountain and takes photos of some animals with feathers because his online profile is plastered with bird photos. Janey once said to me that a bird sat on a twig when she and Benji talked, and he started to spin a yarn about that species.
Louis is an easygoing, chill-out guy who agrees with slow living. He evidently prefers to walking, because I've never seen him rides a car, never met on a school bus. But to tell the truth, I'm not worried about him. Because he, who says walking for 10 km a "gentle stroll", never been late for school.
Abbas is one of the most famous guys outside of the school. He's always making historical documentaries using some scenes from historical drama and real videos about his trip to the museum. I've seen some works of him, and it was quite fascinating. And I mean it, I've never thought that history could be interesting like this.
Creating original stories needs the creativity, but dramatize novel or comics into a film also requires it. Liam is the guy who is highly interested in school or teen dramas, having a dream to make those into his works. Would there be a chance that the stories of our school would become a movie?
"All the world is a stage", Shakespeare said, and "Everything deserves to be recorded", Rebecca said. She always carries her fancy VCR, videos almost everything in a quite insightful and artistic way. But some guys whispers amongst themselves that Rebecca will look much more attractive if she cares about her looks half as much as she observes her surrounding.
Does Santa Claus really exist? You know the answer to this question, but to someone, at least one girl I know, this is still a mystery. April is a kind and good-hearted girl, loves partying, dancing, singing, watching a romantic movie. But her naiveness sometimes makes me worry. I mean, who on earth would believe unicorn exists out there somewhere except for her?
Playboy alert! I admit Thomas is a cool, friendly, and humorous, but it seems his top interest is flirting. But until now, he's efforts have met little success. Hm, maybe Payton, who said his pick-up lines are somewhat outdated, would be right about this kind of matter.
Andrew is an old-fashioned guy. He has been living with his grandpa, who has been his homeschool tutor, and because of that, his fashion sense, the words he uses, and the view of the world are so old. I even heard the episode about Andrew's audition for the glee club, that he sang a military song of WW2. But fortunately, he seems to fully ready to adapt to the 21st century.
It would be hard to deny Maria is a Renaissance girl. She's good at painting, carving, photography, and know how to play at least 2 instruments. And now, Maria is checking and improving her singing skill in the glee club. The problem is, although she has vast skills in art, she hasn't found her dream job yet. Still, I believe she'll become a fine artist, no matter what she chooses.
Self-claimed the prima donna of the glee club and the descendant of the old English nobility, Melanie is a prideful and rich girl. She judges others only by their sense and skill of the art, and because of this reason, I'm not close to her. But according to Autumn, this queen bee knows how to admire great masterpieces at least.
Howard is an easygoing, laid-back guy. He always smiles, seems casual and eases whatever happens. But may it's all in my mind, I see something ruining him from inside. To think about it, it feels like I've never heard about future hope or wish list from Howard. But who can tell I'm right about him?
Oliver is an official nothing-doer of our school because he doesn't talk much, study hard, show up to a party, well... everything. But I don't know its detail, someone found that Oliver is a good listener about other's trouble and complain. Since then, nothing-doer became a speechless counselor. Still, Oliver says, "What am I good at? Well, doing nothing." sometimes.
If I were a game maker, Catherine would be a terror to me. When the new game releases, she always finds glitches or bugs, post it on the internet with her signature meticulousness and sarcastic expressions. It's not a surprise that she's already famous as her online alias "vLOLet". But I can say she knows what's the meaning of kindness and faithful in real life.
Francis is smart and creative, who keeps his grade... by games. He said his favorite thing is learning something new, and making it into a game is his next favorite. Memory game, one of his early works, is highly popular in our school indeed, and jocks, including Julian, owe a great debt to Francis.
To James, life IS a game. When he doesn't play it, he wears clothes of his favorite game character(made by himself), acts and says just like that character. I think this is what they call a cosplay, and the reason the drama club members of our school keep their eyes on him to recruit.
A keen guy of a social movement, Murad often run around on his own feet to find the town's problems, think out a solution, share it with others. Although his idea sometimes becomes radical, if a "superhero" can be defined as someone who has a warm and strong heart, Murad indeed is the one.
Armchair detective is hard to become a protagonist in a detective story, but it's undoubtedly better than nothing. Peter can be called as an "armchair gov" because he always talks slowly, almost does nothing when he's not in a council. But when the council members reach an agreement, it's said that it was Peter's idea in most cases.
Talking about Rani, it would be safe to call her "Miss Holmes" or "Miss Doyle". She likes to write detective stories, also has an astonishing observation and insight. Just like her male counterparts, Rani's work has a dramatic twist, and she was offered some cases from her friends which she mostly solved. Like most of the other guys in school, she still has a long way to go to become an excellent writer and an exceptional detective(if she wants), but I agree she's quite promising.
Diary is basically a private recording, but some diaries are publically published and make their owners famous. Sasha writes her daily diary... on the internet. It's well known her diary contains many creative and ingenious thought about ordinary events, and I agree with it. There's also a rumor that she writes another diary in her notebook, but it isn't confirmed... yet.
Whenever I see Emma in artist hangout, she was making a miniature of world landmarks by using clay or wood. Her close friend Ryan told me that world traveling is her dream, and creating replica is an expression of it. Her dream makes her work great, and I already can see souvenir suppliers compete to scout her.
Ming seems to be a common girl, but when you see her work, your view about her will be changed. As a daughter of a Chinese calligrapher and American Western-style painter, Ming feels proud of the colorful influence of her parents. Already known as a brilliant painter and bold calligrapher, Ming recently trying to put two different art styles in one canvas.
Still life isn't a new genre, of course, but I wonder there was a painter like Sam before. He seems like goofy and clumsy most of the time, but when a paper and pencil are given, he draws a fantastic sketch in no time. Still, this isn't the most strange part. The thing is, he always draw something abandoned such as crushed can, wrecked appliance, or old rugs. I believe there is a reason for his taste, but I don't know what it is yet.
You may think Aaron is just a typical jock, but I can tell every team member of the Arcadia football team likes him. Optimistic and analytic, he always makes a breakthrough in the field or the class, no matter how difficult the situation. In short, it's a small wonder that he's the captain of the team.
When you want to throw a party, what you have to do first is call Alexander. He knows how to organize a party and amuse everybody. But you must remember he isn't just a homecoming planner, but also the homecoming king wannabe. He'll really be pissed off if another guy catches other's eyes.
Anastasija, a new student of the school, is a real mystery. She's beautiful, graceful, charismatic, and some boys seem already to have a crush on her. But I still feel weird that nothing(including her family and previous school) is known, and the fact that she asked "living in one of the hangouts" when she enrolled. Furthermore, there are some recent bat sitings and blood missing in the blood centers of the town. But that can't be anything do with this girl. Right?
Today I gave... a helping hand to Anastasija(which I promised not to tell anyone). In return, she told me her story. According to that, she was a medieval Serbian princess, slain in 1459 when her country conquered by the Osman Empire. But under the most mysterious circumstance, she resurrected from her grave after a week. Since then, she wandered across western Europe to flee from her enemy and find a haven. She heard the news that her old enemy was destroyed in America, where she moved in mid 19c. I couldn't believe this crazy tale, but as evidence, she turned into a bat for a second in front of my eyes! She also said she is still wandering to find the resting place, and our school is another of many stopovers. Well... I can not say this to other guys, but for some reason, I may want our school will be the place she's finding for all this long.)
Anna is a Language Genius. As far as I know, she mastered English, French, German, Spanish, and even Sioux language, which was spoken by her ancestors. Anna and I sometimes meet for a coffee at a cafe near the school after school, and she once told me that introduce Sioux history and culture around the world is her dream. I bet she'll be a good researcher.
Judging by his fashion sense and dancing skill, it would be safe to call Caesar as the Prom King. He's also quite attractive and very familiar with the latest trends. The problem is he wants everyone to pay attention to him in every party he shows up and doesn't give a shit about what others think about him at all.
Carlos is a laid-back and carefree guy who knows well how to blow off steam by dancing. Although he considers sitting and studying is the main factor of his stress, there can be no one who doesn't call him a cool hip-hop dancer.
I've never imagined that fashion and tough sport can coexist, but Colin changed my idea. Maybe one of the most fashionable rock climbers in the world, she loves to take a selfie in a relaxed pose on the summit. I had doubts about her rock climbing skill, but Julian said to me that her hiking technique is real.
I heard Dara and her family moved from Cambodia when she was 12, and she often had been bullied about her clumsy English before she transferred to our school. But although her English is not that good, she has another way of talking: the violin. I've heard her improvise 2 or 3 times, and it felt like listening to a splendid speech made of music.
Harry is a controversial guy in our school: a hero among rebels, nuisance among gentle. But I think everybody would agree Harry is a skillful skater. When he leaves school building, he rides his board right away, don't get off even if he faces steep ramps, stairs, or worse. And oddly enough, I've never heard he hurt by falling from his favorite board.
If there is a word "Wallflower King", I believe Hassan is the one. He hardly ever speaks unless spoken to, so sometimes I get confused if he is unable to speak. But according to Nishan and Beckett, who are closest friends of him, it would be safe to call Hassan as a prospective philosopher for his unique view of the world. Maybe I should try more to get to know him?
Henry is undoubtedly a weirdo. As if he's a girl wearing a boy costume, he knows and likes every girl product and girl things more than myself. He's unpopular among the boys because of this, but to girls, he's quite a star. It's a famous episode in school that one shy girl learned from him how to confess her love to a secret crush.
Isabel is funny, bright, adventurous, and it's no secret that she always has been wanted to become a pirate from her youth. Now she owns a little boat, looking for knowledge, money, and some friends to make her long dream(although it has changed from pirate to ocean explorer) come true.
I've heard Jadwiga has been suffered in a school filled with lookists because of her unique accent and fashion style before she transferred to our school. But now, as an aspiring politician, she's making many contributions to make our school better. In fact, many guys are already calling her "The Queen" in a good way.
Juana enjoys a lot of popularity with students of our school, but she's also the pain in the neck for teachers. Juana already knows everything about the prank, recently practicing the art of the ninja. I see she tries to play a big joke during class without noticed by teachers for a few times, and according to Nishan, Juana even succeeded in playing with yoyo undetected lately.
Being loved by many, I have to admit Kamenna is a sweet and smart model student. But she's known as a strict vegetarian, having the greatest care about going green. And according to some stories Sakura and Ezra told me, Kamenna has an even more low boiling point than she seems.
I know some boys in our school deny it, but it seems true that every boy crushes on Lyla. She's pretty, cool, smart, and even good at painting and playing piano too. I feel jealousy sometimes, but in short, she's the perfect girl. But on second thought, she isn't smart enough to unbelieve "fateful love" in romantic movies. I doubt she could find her love anytime soon...
Talking about Sally, there's nothing much say really. But then I've never seen her before I went to a fast-food restaurant with Mia and Autumn. Maybe it's because she spends only a handful of time in school; most do a part-time job.
Syun is a friendly and funny guy, but unfortunately, it's quite challenging to talk with him. He's nuts about anime, using bizarre and obscure nerdy words from his book all the time. "You're quite a tsundere, senpai Safiye", he said yesterday to me, but... hey, what does that mean again?
I've heard Valerian has some kind of tragic history: he lost his biological parents by the terrible car crash, which left him a language disorder. It was good to know that his stepparents gave him back his smile, but I fear some scars couldn't be healed. Well, at least he has excellent poetry skills. You'll laugh and weep by his words anytime.
In most of the year, Zachary isn't that conspicuous. But when THE seasons come... he becomes an entirely different boy. He turns into unbelievably energetic to promote his favorite festival, and restless when THE day draws near. It's well known that he put up the festival posters every wall and every locker in school last year.
